VE- Vocational Education based on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)

As per New Education Policy- NEP 2020, LBD/IBT program is modified to fit in three forms of learning. The VE/STEM program adds a student assessment section to the LBD/ IBT program. In this type student will have to complete in all 3 projects, 1from each section of learning forms.

Objectives

  • To prevent/reduce the chances of a student dropping out of school For that, to introduce students to vocational skills, like 3D printing, Hydroponics etc.
  • To reduce the gender gap in school education.
  • Changing ‘Book centred education’ towards ‘work centred education’.
  • Linking school education/curricular subjects to day to day activities and making education meaningful.
  • To provide various services to the community through school specially for rural areas.

Strategy

  • Focus on school children 6th to 8th and 9th to10th
  • Training will be given based on methodology of ‘Learning while doing, in real life situations’.
  • As a part of training, students will be given training in various rural/ urban Focus will be given on need based service requirements.
